The Engineering Services Department works hard to ensure the city’s infrastructure is planned and executed responsibly, both fiscally and technically, in order to maintain the high standard of living that Rancho Cucamonga residents and businesses expect and enjoy. 

This involves managing the engineering design and construction of capital improvements, processing permits and conducting inspections for residential and commercial developments, overseeing parks development, traffic engineering and managing environmental programs. In addition, the Department also operates a subcompact electrical utility.

To that end, our staff is spread among seven sections that include:

• Integrated Waste/NPDES

• Municipal Utility (RCMU)
