The responsibilities of the Integrated Waste/NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) Section include promoting educational efforts that encourage the preservation of natural resources and prevention of stormwater pollution. These efforts are through school presentations, community outreach and site and business inspections.

The goal of the Integrated Waste/NPDES Section is the effective administration of the City's Recycling/Household Hazardous Waste program. Guidelines for this program are set forth in Assembly Bill 939 and the San Bernardino County Stormwater NPDES Permit rules as prescribed by the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board.

For further information or inquiries on integrated waste, recycling programs or NPDES issues throughout the City, please contact Linda Ceballos, Environmental Programs Manager at (909) 477-2740 ext. 4060.
